Drug and Alcohol Policy

Shinwa Controls and our group companies want to be a company that is trusted and needed by our stakeholders, employees, customers, partner companies, and local communities. Therefore, we have established the Compliance Action Guidelines and are developing a work environment that gives deep consideration to social norms and social ethics as well as the law. We believe that the abuse of alcohol and drugs poses a threat to the health and safety of our employees and to the security of our equipment and facilities, and we are committed to eliminating the use and possession of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. In addition, in order to ensure that each and every one of our employees is deeply aware of our corporate social responsibility and acts in a manner consistent with social ethics, we have known the following items to all of our employees.

  • The use and possession of illegal drugs and alcohol while on duty is prohibited.
  • Our employees will not purchase or sell illegal drugs, nor will not have any relationship with organizations involved in such activities.
  • In the event that an employee of ours drinks alcohol outside of working hours, the employee shall be required to work after having a period of time until the effects of the alcohol are completely gone.
  • In order to obtain evidence that our employees are not under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol, we may conduct tests on our employees, regardless of whether the tests are conducted under normal circumstances or in the event of an occupational accident, and our employees will willingly cooperate with these tests.
